Freezing pancakes is an easy and convenient way to have fresh-out-of-the-toaster pancakes any day of the week. The following are the procedures for freezing pancakes so they don’t cling together, and the pancakes can be reheated when you need a quick breakfast.
Ingredients:
- Parchment/ plastic wrap
- Baking sheet
- Tray
- Zip bag
Steps:
- Make pancakes in a pan or griddle.
- Place the pancakes on a plate and set them aside to cool completely.
- Using parchment, wax paper, a silicone mat, or plastic wrap, line a baking sheet.
- Set the pancakes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place the baking sheet in the freezer.
- Freeze the pancakes for at least 30 minutes to an hour before moving them from the tray to a sealable zip bag.
- Write the pancake batch and date on the zip bag for assurance.
